1. I can't find a baby-sitter that night. Can I bring my kids? I promise they wont drink.

Unfortunately for legal and safety reasons, we cannot allow anyone below the age of 21 at the event.

2. I am a vegetarian. Will there be anything for me to eat?

YES! We have selected a vegetarian option for each course. The flavors of the vegetarian dishes have also been chosen to match with the wine pairings for each course.

3. I have never been to a wine tasting before. How does it work?

A typical wine tasting event focuses only on the wines. This event is unique in that we are pairing wines with the flavors of Asian cuisines. A professional sommelier will be present to describe why the flavors of each course work well with certain wines. You can ask questions and learn more about the wines as well as the pairings during the event. We will also provide a written explanation of the pairins which you can take home.

4. 7 courses sounds like a LOT of wine. Should I call a cab to take me home?

We certainly dont want anyone to get drunk during this event. Each course will be paired with a quarter-pour of wine. The important thing is to experience the flavors. There will be several buckets available at the event to pour out excess wine from each course, so that you can properly enjoy all courses. We encourage everyone to be aware of their alcohol tolerance and be responsible for their own safety.

5. $45 is a lot of money. Where does my money go?

We realize that the suggested donation may seem high, however, we have worked hard to make this event enjoyable with a high quality of food and wine, an elegant venue, and world music beats to keep you entertained. Your donation will also enable SAHELI to continue providing vital services to the Asian community and to victims of domestic violence.
